I am Flowingcloud and a riichi mahjong player from San Francisco Bay Area, California. I played online on Tenhou from 2015 and in-person starting mid-2019 at Pacific Mahjong League. I am an ARML A1 League player and also often a director and/or commentator on the American Riichi Mahjong League livestream.
I have been doing fan translations for many years, and I am still an active light novel fan translator. I graduated with a degree in Japanese and currently JLPT N2 proficiency. My hobbies include translating, reading novels (not just Japanese), watching dramas, and playing mahjong and TFT (Teamfight Tactics).
As a mahjong enthusiast, I started to seriously learn more about the game in 2020 during COVID, and now, I am an avid watcher of M-League, JPML and Saikouisen league matches, as well as a follower of many Japanese mahjong tournaments.
